Florian Bieber holds a Masters degree in history and political science
of the University of Vienna and a M.A. in Southeastern European Studies
of Central European University in Budapest. There his final thesis was
on: "Bosnia-Herzegovina and Lebanon in Comparison. Historical Development
and the politicial system prior to the civil war" (Sinzheim: Pro
Universitate Verlag, 1999). He is currently completeing his PhD in Polical
Science about "Serbian nationalism after Tito's death" at the
University of Vienna.
Florian is an instructor at the Department for International Relations
and European Studies at the Central European University in Budapest. He
is founder and editor of Balkan
Academic News, an electronic list with over 500 subscribers and author
of various publications.
