Charlene SCIBERRAS, Project Manager
Dear friends and visitors, welcome to the website of the Project The BRIDGE: Connecting Mobility & Disability. My name is Charlene Sciberras and I am the Project Manager of this Project. I've been a member of AEGEE since 2001 and I can say that this association always gave me fulfilment and motivation to work for it. I decided to support this important project because I truly believe in the integration of disabled youths in our society, and most importantly in AEGEE. I believe that as youths we have the ability of changing situations, improving the world we are living in, and so I will try my best in this mission, hopefully with the help and support of all AEGEE-members. Nowadays Mobility is the key to everything and I do believe that even disabled youths should have the opportunity to experience it.

Luca FALCONE, External Relations
I have joined AEGEE in May 1999 in Napoli (Italy). I was attracted by the chance to discover new cultures and realities, and to share my experiences with other people completely different, coming from very far areas of Europe. The idea of the European Integration together with Mobility in a very few time became a sort of strong leitmotiv. I coordinated the "Rainbow" Region, consisting in the Italian, Slovenian, Croatian, Bosnian, Maltese and Montenegrin locals of the association, and it was something interesting and challenging at the same time. "The Bridge", and the theme of the integration of the disabled people in those experiences of mobility that characterised my most recent years of my life, grow up from the ideas of a group of AEGEE member, I was one of them, and I soon singled out that it was the right way. Together with a group of great people, and we started this amazing and really challenging adventure.

Francesco
CASABURI,
Thematic Coordinator
Hi all, my name
is Francesco Casaburi, a 24 year old guy from the Costa Amalfitana,
Salerno in Italy. I study classic languages but my interests go even
further. One of my biggest passions is writing and travelling.
Here it was born my passion for AEGEE - an organisation capable of
launching you through new horizons. Why did I join The BRIDGE
project? I was born blind and I perfectly know the difficulties and
problems of a handicapped person, because I live with it everyday. I
know the logistic difficulties that a disabled person may face when
travelling or when he or she leaves his own reality. Having done an
Erasmus Exchange in Salamanca, Spain, I realised more and more the
difficulties, however the interior enrichment is very strong. I
would like therefore to change something, to make it easier for
other persons with disability who want to travel and experience new
realities, but who are obstructed by many difficulties. I would also
like that others would have the same possibility as I had and even
more. Where there's a will there's a way.
