Agora Election Observation is seeking three young applicants residing in Poland who are familiar with the country and interested in the topics of youth engagement in elections and election observation. They are invited to join the mission as Local Coordinators.
Agora Election Observation will deploy its mission, comprising young observers and three Mission Coordinators from all over Europe, to various locations throughout the country. The exact date has not yet been announced and will be proclaimed by President Duda. However, the EOM will be deployed for five nights and aims to provide valuable insights and observations.
The Local Coordinators are three (3) positions whose purpose is to work hand in hand with the Mission Coordinators. The positions are as follows:
Local Logistics Coordinator:
- Assisting in deployment of observers and interpreters at polling stations;
- Providing support in field coordination tasks to the Logistic Coordinator.
Local Outreach Coordinator:
- Assisting in networking with local and national institutions and organisations;
- Assisting in communication with local and national institutions and organisations.
Local Research Coordinator:
- Assisting in translation and proofreading: Preliminary research, Press release and Final report;
- Providing support in field coordination tasks to the Research Coordinator.
In general, our Missions are organised on a 100% voluntary basis and do not involve any remuneration and funding for travel and accommodation.
REQUIREMENTS
In order to become a Local Coordinator for the Agora Election Observation Mission, the following criteria must be fulfilled:
- Be between 18 and 35 years old;
- have a sound command of both English and Polish;
- have a solid knowledge of the country and especially of the region/town in which the applicant is based.
Naturally, this profile favours Polish citizens, but applications from international volunteers residing in the country who fulfill the criteria are welcome as well.
